The governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has fired Mu’azu Magaji as the executive chairman, state NNPC/AKK Gas Pipeline Project and Gas Industrialisation Committee (KNSG-PDIC) with immediate effect.
Recall that in April 2020, Mr Ganduje sacked Mr Magaji as commissioner of Works and Infrastructure for celebrating the death of the chief of staff to the president, Abba Kyari.
He was later reappointed to serve as chairman of the AKK committee.
A statement signed by the commissioner for information, Muhammad Garba, on Monday evening said the removal was informed by his inability to measure up with the challenging job, poor performance and insubordination.
The commissioner added that Mr Magaji was appointment in April, last year, to chair the committee with the hope that he would work diligently to supervising the effective execution of the project.
