Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has paid a condolence visit to a former governor of the state, Rabi’u Musa-Kwankwaso, over the death of the latter’s younger brother, Inuwa Musa-Kwankwaso.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that the governor, who was alongside top government officials, paid a condolence visit to Mr Kwankwaso’s family house at Kwankwaso town in Madobi Local Government Area of the state.
From Madobi, Mr Ganduje went straight to Mr Kwankwaso’s residence, located at Miller Road in the Kano metropolis.
Although there were no speeches by Mr Ganduje at either Mr Kwankwaso’s family house or residence, the governor just prayed for the deceased and left.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, in a statement on Tuesday in Kano, said Mr Ganduje described the death of the agricultural engineer as a loss to his immediate family, to the state and to the nation.
“He distinguished himself as a dedicated civil servant before his retirement, particularly when he served at the Afforestation Programme, where he spent many years,’’ Mr Garba quoted Mr Ganduje as saying.
Mr Ganduje prayed Allah to grant Inuwa paradise and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
