A pro-democracy organisation, ‘No Sidon Look’, on Sunday launched a sensitisation campaign to ensure that uncollected PVCs, particularly the one by young persons, are collected before INEC deadline of February 14.
The Convener of the group, Portrait Peterson, while addressing newsmen at the launching of the campaign, urged youths, particularly students, to collect their Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs, despite the ongoing ASUU strike.
He said that investigation carried out by the organisation revealed that there are many PVCs that are yet to be collected by voters across the country.
Mr Peterson, therefore, enjoined the youth and students to fully participate in the forthcoming general elections with a view to contributing their quota to the development of democracy.
The convener said the campaign was also aimed at eliminating vote buying, electoral violence, ballot box snatching, under age voting and other electoral vices mostly perpetuated by younger persons.
He disclosed that the organisation had lined up series of activities to boost their main objective on PVCs collection before the elections.
