The Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has appointed James Atung-Kanyip as Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that the ministry has been under the supervision of Samuel Aruwan.
The governor also appointed Ibrahim Tanko-Mohammed as commissioner for Finance and Barde Yunana-Markus as commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs.
The appointments were announced in a statement issued by the chief press secretary to the governor, Ibraheem Musa, on Saturday.
He said the appointments are aimed to re-energise Mr Sani’s administration and further enhance service delivery.
Other appointments made by the governor are Farida Abubakar Ahmed as Executive Director [Radio], Kaduna State Media Corporation, KSMC; Vitus Azuka Ewuzie, Senior Special Assistant, Legal Matters and; Francis Damina, Senior Special Assistant, Research and Documentation.
Others are Hon Victor Mathew Bobai, Senior Special Assistant, Public Affairs; Abdulmutallib Isah, Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties and; Abdulhaleem Ishaq Ringim, Special Assistant, Economic Matters.
While congratulating the new appointees, Mr Sani urged them to see the appointments as an opportunity to contribute their quota towards bettering the lives of the poor, vulnerable, and underserved in Kaduna State.
“They must therefore deploy their skills and competences to help the administration to quicken the pace of governance in order to leave a legacy of inclusive development. He wished them God’s guidance in their new assignments,” he added.
The statement explained that all the appointments are with immediate effect.
