Following the accidental drone strike in the Tudun Biri community of Igabi local government area of Kaduna State, Governor Uba Sani has offered comprehensive assistance for the victims and families of the tragic incident.
Mr Sani, who had earlier promised to cover all medical expenses of the injured victims, said the state government will provide financial, psychological, and emotional aid to the orphans who have lost their parents in the tragic incident.
A statement issued by the chief press secretary to the governor, Mohammed Lawal-Shehu, said the governor made the promise during a meeting with a federal government delegation led by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
While commending President Bola Tinubu for his prompt response to the incident, Mr Sani assured the delegation that the findings of the investigation would be made public
He also appreciated the federal government’s decision to compensate the victims’ families and to initiate the reconstruction of critical infrastructure in the Tudun Biri community.
“The Vice President announced today that the Fulako programme is under his office. Mr President has also directed that it should start in Kaduna, in this community [Tudun Biri] that has been affected by the unfortunate incident.
“So they are going to rebuild the houses, build schools and hospitals, provide farming facilities for them, among others and create a new city.
“So I want to thank Mr President and Vice President,” Mr Sani said.
Other members of the federal government delegation include speaker of the House of Representatives Abbas Tajuddeen, minister of Defence Badaru Abubakar, and APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje.
