Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano has sacked Sani Dambo as the Executive Chairman of Kano State Internal Revenue Services, KIRS.
The governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, in a statement on Tuesday, said Mr Sambo was however appointed as special adviser to the governor on investment.
The statement added that Zaid Abubakar was appointed to replace Mr Dambo as the new KIRS Executive Chairman.
According to the statement, the governor also approved the appointment of Kassim Ibrahim as the Executive Director of the KIRS board.
Mr Dawakin-Tofa added that the new appointment is with immediate effect.
