A former member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Gudaji-Kazaure, has paid a courtesy visit to the former vice president, Atiku Abubakar.
Mr Kazaure, who served in the green chamber during the 8th and 9th assemblies, pledged to support Mr Abubakar’s bid to rescue Nigeria.
He said his visit was premised on the resolution of some Northern leaders and elders to support an individual who has the capacity to resolve the challenges facing the country.
He also lampooned the administration of President Bola Tinubu for allegedly abandoning the investigation into some of the corrupt issues he raised during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Mr Kazaure said: “Politically, all the Northern elders and leaders gathered and held a meeting before meeting him.
“We want all our politicians to come together to find a lasting solution to our problems.
“Most of our elected representatives have abandoned us. And all we are trying to do to make this country great.
“Many problems that we revealed during the previous administration have not been addressed. There is nobody in this country that would say we didn’t expose corruption.
“This government promised to continue investigating, but up till now nothing has happened.
“Nobody invited me; nobody called me to know whether I existed or not, That is why we are calling on all our patriotic politicians to join us. And we are here waiting for the instruction of northern Nigeria and Nigeria in general.
“We are therefore calling on all patriotic Nigerians who want the progress of the country to join us.”
He also expressed his willingness to follow the direction of Northern leaders irrespective of party or any partisan affiliation.
