Some gun-wielding men suspected to be kidnappers Tuesday night reportedly attacked commuters near the Zuma Rock on the Abuja-Kaduna highway.
A man who claimed to have escaped the attack said the gunmen operated near a military checkpoint and were wearing military clothes.
Hundreds of people who were commuting at the time had to take refuge around the Zuma Estate, where a police outpost was recently established.

A similar attack was carried out in October in the same area, and dozens of people were kidnapped.

The number of people abducted this time around hadn’t not been established at the time of filing this report, as  police commander in the  area (Suleja), Isa Rambo, was not answering the calls made to him.
