The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has begun sensitization campaign on the newly introduced Hajj Savings Scheme in the southwest geo-political zone of the country.
A statement signed by the NAHCON Head of Public Affairs, Fatima Sanda-Usara, said the campaign began on Monday in Osun, Oshogbo.
According to the statement, the team then moved to Ogun, Oba’s Complex, Governor’s office, Abeokuta for the event on Tuesday.
The statement added that the campaign would proceed to Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday.
It noted that the grand finale of the South West Campaign would be hosted by the Lagos state government with a launching of the scheme on December 20.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, assured to grace the occasion as grand host before recent developments.
The statement said: “Venue of the South-West grand launching is Radio Lagos, Eko Fm, Marque, Lateef Jakande Road, Agidinggbi, Ikeja Lagos.
“Top dignitaries from NAHCON, Lagos State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, Ja’iz Bank, traditional institutions and the general public are expected to attend the occasion.
