The hospitalized National Coordinator of Buhari Campaign Organisation BCO, Danladi Pasali, was conveyed to his Polling Unit on a hospital stretcher to cast his vote during the Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.
DAILY NIGERIAN correspondent spotted Mr Pasali walking on crutches at his Polling Unit 027 of Layin Ba’are at Nasarawa Gwon, Jos North local government area of Plateau state.
Recall that a few weeks ago, Mr Pasali and his driver were shot by unknown gunmen along Barde village on their way from Abuja.
He has since been receiving treatment at Rayfield Medical Center in Jos.
However, despite the injuries, he was able to get to his polling unit and cast his votes.
Speaking with DAILY NIGERIAN shortly after casting his votes, Mr Pasali said: “This election is very important. Because of its importance, a lot of Nigerians have left their businesses even from different counties of the world to come so that they can cast their votes.
‘When I looked at myself on this condition of ill health, I requested that I should be taken even if it is on an ambulance and with crutches to go and cast my votes, and they agreed.
“I am grateful to the people who magnanimously allowed me to cast my votes even though I met many of them waiting for hours at the polling unit,” he said.
