How Nigerian troops nabbed ‘criminal informant’ in Taraba

Troops of 93 Battalion, on Sunday arrested a suspected criminal informant while he was trying to identify someone to be eliminated.

He was said to be identifying the victim in a vehicle along road Takum – Chanchangi in Taraba State when he was arrested.

A statement by the Director Army Public Relations, Texas Chukwu, said the suspect was heard by a commuter talking to one Musa Ibrahim to identify the person to be eliminated.

“The information was secretly revealed to troops; they thereby trailed the vehicle and arrested the informant.

“During the interrogation of the suspect, he confessed to be an informant to criminals in the general area to perpetrate criminal activities.

“The suspect is presently in the Army custody undergoing interrogation,” Mr Chukwu, a brigadier-general,  said.
