The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Uche Secondus has reacted to the statement by former President Ibrahim Babangida on the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, saying that it had vindicated the stance of the leading opposition party.
IBB on Sunday, had issued a vote-out Buhari statement, advising the President to step aside for the younger generation.
According to Mr Secondus, “It’s a confirmation of what the PDP has been saying all the while that the ruling party lacked the democratic wherewithal to lead the country.”
The PDP chairman maintained that the ruling party had failed woefully and Nigerians were now yearning for real democrats which PDP with its experience was the only viable option.
He added that “the PDP is working hard to regain power in 2019 and save the country from collapse.”
Mr Secondus was addressing his party supporters who came to receive him as he arrived Asaba, Delta State on Sunday.
He urged the people get their PVC, which he reminded them was their real instrument of power.
