The academic team of the Iconic Open University, Sokoto, has reiterated its commitment to upholding standards and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines in all of its academic programs.
The university made the reiteration during a separate meeting with the Registrar and Chief Executive of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, NMCN, Faruk Abubakar, as well as the CEO/Registrar of Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria, HRORBN, Babagana Mustapha, in Abuja.
Speaking during the meeting, the Director of Academic Planning, Iconic University, Anas Sanusi, said the meeting aimed to enhance the Nursing Science program at the university and ensure that it meets the Council’s requirements and the global competitive quality of the training and practice.
Mr Sanusi said since the commencement of academic activities in 2023, the university has consistently recruited professionals and deployed modern facilities to enhance effective teaching and learning processes.
Also speaking during the meeting, with the HRORBN, Mr Sanusi said, “The visit aimed to further strengthen the collaboration between the two parties to ensure due diligence on the conduct of the B.HIM. Health Information Management program at the university.
The board expressed their enthusiasm and openness on working with the university in its commitment towards attaining excellence in healthcare training.
