The management of Iconic Open University Sokoto has announced the date for the commencement of the second semester physical examination.
A statement issued by the university registrar Muhammad Sanusi and sent to DAILY NIGERIAN on Sunday said the date was fixed during the institution’s Senate meeting on Friday.
He said the highly anticipated examination for the 2023–2024 session will commence on Monday, July 22, across 41 centres in Nigeria.
“Students across the country will be attending the physical exams at 41 exam centers across 36 states, including Abuja where they will undertake the examination under the supervision of assigned invigilators by the university.
“The university has also spelled out the general examination rules for students alongside the code of conduct for the examination supervisors and proctors,” he said.
Mr Sanusi disclosed that the Directorate of Academic Planning, DAP, has also briefed the Senate that the curriculum for all programmes has been covered across all programmes.
“He also added that the Directorate of Exams and Records, DER, has informed the Senate that all tools and necessary technological needs for the exams have been deployed.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that Iconic Open University, is a private open and distance learning institution, that was licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Universities Commission, NUC, to provide education through the open, distance, and e-learning modes.
Reacting to the commencement of the examination, the registrar expressed his excitement and readiness, saying, “We are thrilled to start our second semester physical examination at Iconic Open University. This marks an important milestone for our institution, and we are confident that our students will excel in their exams.”
The registrar also encouraged the students to put their best foot forward and showcase their talents and abilities.
“The university wishes all students the best of luck in their exams, and looks forward to celebrating their success and achievements,” the statement added.
