The leader of Movement for the Actualisation of the Soverign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Ralph Uwazuruike, has said that Ndigbo are not worth fighting or dying for.
In the August edition of The Interview Magazine, Mr Uwazuruike said when somebody once asked him whether he was fighting for Ndigbo, he said “no”, he was fighting for his children.
“I had to fight in their presence so that when I am not there, they would know and appreciate that their father fought for freedom and equal rights.
“Ndigbo are not people you can fight for because when you are not there, they won’t remember you fought for them. If even you die in the course of the fight they will forget you tomorrow. So, I’m not fighting for Ndigbo.”
Mr Uwazuruike also took swipe at the leader of proscribed IPOB, Namdi Kanu, saying “Nnamdi Kanu is doing gra-gra today, tomorrow another person will jump out and they will forget Kanu. That is Ndigbo for you; they are given to forgetfulness.”
