The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered the posting and redeployment of 24 Assistant Inspectors General of Police, AIGs, to Zonal Commands and Formations across the country.
A statement on Tuesday by the force spokesperson, Frank Mba, said the redeployment was in line with the new Manpower Development Policy of the Force.
According to him, the posting and redeployment is with immediate effect
The stated quoted the IGP as assuring that the posting and redeployment would further help in driving the new policing vision.
The action, he said, is targeted at improving policing services across the country and effectively responding to security threats in the country.
