Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, has declared that persons who loot the treasury of Nigeria are most sought-after by the major political divide in the country.

Mr Sani stated this while reacting to the statement made by Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, at a town hall meeting tagged: ‘’The Candidates”, on Wednesday in Abuja.

Mr Atiku revealed that should he be elected president, he would grant amnesty to looters, if they return their loot or invest it in the country.

However, in a swift reaction on his Twitter handle, Mr Sani said that while some offered the looters amnesty, other side offered the looters asylum for their “sins”.

He tweeted: “Looters are being coveted on both sides; one side is offering them amnesty for them to invest; and the other side is offering them asylum for their sins to be washed. Barabbas, thee can now sleep in Peace, for thy kind hath find honour in our land.”
