Inputs from the Plateau State citizens would be incorporated into the legislative agenda for the state’s House of Assembly in the next four years, Speaker Nuhu Abok has said.
The speaker, who stated this through the Chairman of House Committee on Information, Peter Dashi, said that townhall meetings would be held across the three Senatorial districts of the state.
He disclosed that Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth & Advancement, YIAGA Africa would be providing technical support to the House to aid the process, which commenced today, November 5, with the deployment of researchers to the 17 local government areas of the state to gather data from citizens.

“Citizen’s input will be harnessed and reflected in the development of the legislative agenda through surveys and townhall meetings with the different interest groups in the state,” he said.
He noted that YIAGA AFRICA as a civic hub that promotes democratic governance, human rights and civic engagement at federal and state levels.
