The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association has shut down fuel Stations across Minna, the Capital of Niger State, in protest against the killing of one of their staff.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that on Monday afternoon, two Nigerian Air Force personnel had a face-off with the manager of AY Shafa Filling Station in Minna.
While the soldiers were reportedly beating up the fuel station manager, a fuel attendant waded in to rescue his principal and was shot dead.
IPMAN chairman in the state, Adamu Erena, said the action of the soldiers was against humanity, adding that they would not relent in fighting for justice for the victim.
Mr Erena denied an earlier report that said the fuel attendant had attacked the air force personnel with a knife.
The chairman, therefore, appealed to Nigerlites to exercise patience as the decision was not aimed at subjecting people to hardship but solidarity to their members.
When contracted on the incidence, the Air Commander, Minna Command, Ayo Idowu, said investigations were ongoing on the matter.
