The Yobe State Deputy Governor, Idi Barde-Gubana, has called on the people of the state to continue to cooperate with and support the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni and other leaders across the country for peace and progress.
Mr Gubana, in a statement by his press secretary, Hussani Mai-Sule, said as the new year of Islamic calendar set in, there was the need for people to appreciate the bounties of Almighty God at all times.
According to him, the present administration of Mr Buni considered the plight and welfare of the people as a priority every year.
He stressed the need for more prayers for the governor to consolidate on the achievements recorded.
“As the Yobe State Government declares 9th of August 2021 as a work-free day to enable Muslims celebrate and reflect on the significance of the day, His Excellency the Deputy Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana (Wazirin Fune), wishes to facilitate with His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni and good people of the state on the occasion of the new Islamic year.
“His Excellency is a committed leader determined to build a peaceful and harmonious state hence the need for support and prayers for him to overcome insecurity in addition to taking our dear state to a greater height,” the deputy governor said.
He prayed to God to guide and protect the governor in piloting the affairs of the state for peace, progress, unity of the state and the nation at large.
