Eight governors elected under the platform of the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, are currently meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in his office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Among governors attending the meeting with Mr Buhari include Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara, Rochas Okorocha of Imo, Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo and Abubakar Bello of Niger states.
Others are Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun, Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo and Simon Lalong of Plateau states.
Although the agenda of the meeting is not made public, political feelers opine that the meeting might not be unconnected with the controversies surrounding the party primaries which pitched the party leadership with some of the governors.
However, briefing the State House correspondents after the meeting, Mr Okorocha said: “We came to review the various crises characterizing our primaries especially the APC with a view to finding solution.
“So, we are looking for a way out in this regard. We are going to find solution, our party believes in justice, equity and fairness.
“We are requesting that let the right thing be done and let everyone contest the elections,” he added.
