Gunshots fired as members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN, popularly known as Shiites, have again engaged security operatives, causing crisis around the Federal Secretariat, Abuja.

The Shiite group are agitating for the release of their detained leader, Ibrahim El- Zakzaky.

Attempts by members of the Muslim sect Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) popularly known as Shi’ite on Thursday to cause crisis around the Federal secretariat failed as the police shot in the air to unsettle them.

Our correspondent observed that passers-by and workers were thrown into panic around the area as they ran away from the scene due to the gunshots.
