A political group working for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari, National Consolidation Ambassadors Network, NCAN, has presented the Expression of Interest and Nomination Form to the President for the 2019 presidential election at the cost of N45 million.
Led by the National Coordinator of the group, Sanusi Musa, the group made the presentation at the New Banquet Hall Presidential Villa Abuja by 11:30 am.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole, and many other party stalwarts.
In his twitter handle, Mr Buhari said: “Just now at the State House I was presented with the APC Presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, by the Nigeria Consolidation Ambassadors Network (NCAN).
“A mixture of familiar faces, as well as new ones, united by a common vision of a secure & prosperous Nigeria.”
Recall that Mr Musa had earlier told newsmen in Abuja that the group could not handover the documents to the president immediately after purchase as the president was in China on official engagements.
He said: “The president is just back, so we have not yet presented the form to the president. We are in the process of sending it. We will send it to him.’’
Mr Musa dismissed the insinuation that the group was being financed by Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi, saying that the N45 million expended on the purchase of the Expression of Interest and Presidential Nomination Form was generated through contributions made by the supporters and admirers of President Buhari.
