Tragedy on Tuesday struck the city of Kano state as unknown gunmen kidnapped an expatriate engineer at the construction site of Dangi underpass bridge.
An eyewitness said the incident occurred at about 7.40am.
The eyewitness said the gunmen, numbering four, shot dead the driver of the expatriate before abducting him.
The eyewitness added that policemen, who arrived at the scene after the kidnappers zoomed off, took the corpse of the driver to the mortuary.
When contacted, the Kano Police command, through its spokesman, Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the incident, saying it would give details later.
