Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Thursday submitted his expression of interest and nomination form to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP headquarters in Abuja for 2019 presidential contest.
Our correspondent gathered that mammoth crowd accompanied the former vice president to the PDP headquarters.
Some youth believed to be of Atiku’s opposing camp clashed with the former VP’s supporters thereby instigating a pandemonium at the gathering.
While no record of fatality, scores of people are believed to have been injured as a result.
However, Police officers at the venue had to douse the crowds as many supporters of the vice president were seen scampering for safety.
