The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, on Tuesday, received an Award of Excellence from the United State of America’s Federal Bureau of Investigations, FBI.
Presenting the award at the EFCC Headquarters, Abuja, the FBI legal attaché in Nigeria, Ahamdi Uche, said Mr Maga was recongnised for his unique role in the joint field operation with the FBI codenamed, “Operation Rewired”.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that Operation Rewire is a financial crime-fighting collaboration that id aimed at tackling the menace of cyber-crime.
The FBI’s legal attache also commended Mr Magu’s leadership as well as the Commission for the concerted efforts in the fight against corruption.
