The Niger State House of Assembly has summoned Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello over his administration’s alleged failure to tackle the lingering banditry in the state.
The lawmakers also summoned the Commissioner of Police, claiming that the police were not doing enough to combat insecurity in the state.
While noting that the attacks had been going on since November 2019, the lawmakers accused the governor of paying lip service to the fight against insecurity in the state.
