The State Security Service, SSS, has applied to the Federal High Court in Abuja, seeking permission to further detain the convener of #RevolutionNow Omoyele Sowore for 90 days pending the conclusion of investigation.
Mr Sowore was arrested at the on Saturday in Lagos and moved to Abuja on Sunday.
The request formed the main relief in an ex-parte application filed by the secret service, FHC/ABJ/CS/ 915/19, which was argued on Tuesday by its lawyer, G. O. Agbadua.
After listening to Mr Agbadua’s argument, Justice Taiwo Taiwo adjourned until Thursday for ruling.
The judge said he needed time to examine the exhibits filed along with the application before taking decision on the matter.
The exhibits include two copies of digital video disks, DVD.
The judge then adjourned the matter to Thursday, August 8 for ruling.
