The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Ahmadu Fintri as the governor of Adamawa state.
The apex court held that the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its candidate, Jibrilla Bindow, failed to prove their allegation that Mr Fintiri emerged through over-voting.
Delivering the judgement, on Tuesday, the leader of a seven-man panel, Justice Mohammed Dattijo held that APC and Mr Bindow did not prove that number of votes from the disputed 385 polling units, exceeded the total number of voters that were accredited with both the Smart Card Reader, the Voters Register and the Form EC8A.
Similarly, the apex court also confirmed the election of Samuel Ortom as the governor of Benue State.
