The Kaduna State Security Council on Tuesday in its 41st meeting reviewed the current security situation in the State, according to a statement by Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s spokesman, Samuel Aruwan.
“The Council deliberated on the security situation in Jema’a, Kaura and Zangon Kataf Local Government Areas in Kaduna South Senatorial District.
“Following its assessments of reports from the field, the Security Council relaxed the 24-hour curfew in Kaura local government Area. The curfew is now from 7pm to 6am daily.
“Last week, the Council relaxed the curfews in Jema’a and Zangon Kataf Local Government Areas to 6pm to 6am. Today, the Council further relaxed the curfews in these two local governments to 7pm-6am.
“The Kaduna State Security Council meeting, which was chaired by Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, had in attendance, the Deputy Governor, Arc. Barnabas Yusuf Bala, HRH Alhaji Shehu Idris, Emir of Zazzau, HRH Alhaji Zubair Jibril Maigwari II, Ameer of Birnin Gwari, HRH Paul Zakka Wyom, Kpop Gwong, Brig-Gen Ismaila Isa, Commander, 1 Division Garrison, Nigerian Army, Kaduna, Agyole Abeh, Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Police Command, Mohammmed Tijjani Wakil, Director, Department of State Services, Capt. SM Ochidi representing Commandant, Nigerian Navy School of Armament Technology, Kachia, AVM Bello Garba, the out-going Commander 335 Base Services Group, Nigerian Air Force, Kaduna and heads of other security agencies,” the statement added.
