The Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board on Monday said it would commence airlift of pilgrims from the state to Saudi Arabia on August 1.
Public Relations Officer of the board, Yunusa Abdullahi, said in Kaduna that travel visa for over 5,000 pilgrims had been processed and the balance would be ready within the week.
Mr Abdullahi disclosed that 6,247 pilgrims had so far paid their hajj fare of over N1.53 million each.
He disclosed that the remaining intending pilgrims that had not completed the payment have up to Friday, July 28, to do so.
The three airlines, Max Air, Azman and Med View airlines would transport pilgrims from the state to Saudi Arabia.
