The Managing Director of the Bank of the Agriculture, Alwan Ali-Hassan, is reportedly missing after terrorists attacked passengers on the Abuja-Kaduna train.

DAILY NIGERIAN reports that bandits had on Monday night attacked the Kaduna-bound train carrying over 970 passengers around Kateri – Rijana axis in Kaduna, just a few kilometers to the Rigasa Train Station in Igabi Local Government Area of the state.

Eight bodies were recovered, 26 persons were injured and many others were either missing or kidnapped during the attack.

Mr Hassan is among many people missing.

A source close to Mr Hassan’s family told The Nation on Tuesday that his phone lines had been switched off since yesterday.

“We cannot tell if he has been kidnapped or not but we are worried because we have been unable to reach him since yesterday.

“His phone lines have been switched off and no one has contacted the bank or any of his family members,” the source said.
