Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello of Niger State has disclosed that his administration will not pay ransom to the kidnappers of school boys at the Government Science College in Kangara, Rafi Local Government Area of the state.

Mr Bello stated this while addressing newsmen on Wednesday, following the abduction of some students and staff of the College on Tuesday night.

“It is not in our policy as a government to pay ransom to bandits because we have noticed that they use this sand money to buy arms and ammunition.

“However, the government will be ready to support and assist repentant bandits,” the governor said.
