All roads lead to Abuja tonight for the crème de la crème of the Hausa film industry, popularly known as Kannywood, holds its 3rd award night and 25th anniversary of the industry.
The event billed to hold at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja will bring together the old and contemporary stakeholders of the industry to celebrate the 25years since the beginning of the Hausa home video.
Launched in 2013 by Sarari Klassique Merchandise, the awards was created to acknowledge talented artists in Kannywood.
The 2016 edition will comprise of more than 20 awards, given under 3 separate categories – Popular Awards, Jury Awards (Technical and Critics Awards) and special Awards.
Popular and award winning actor, Ali Nuhu, triumphed at the 2015 edition of the MTN/Kannywood awards, winning in the much coveted “Best Actor” category.
The red carpet opens at 6pm until 8:30pm when the event starts.
