The State House of Assembly has condemned the violent behaviours of the embattled Majority Leader of the Federal House of Representatives, Alhasan Doguwa.
Mr Doguwa had on Monday attacked the deputy governorship candidate of the party, Murtala Garo, during a high-level party meeting at the residence of the deputy governor, Nasir Gawuna.
On Tuesday, Mr Doguwa also assaulted the state publicity secretary, Ahmad Aruwa, in his (Doguwa’s) Kwankwasiyya residence and threatened to deal with a former secretary to the state government, Rabiu Bichi.
The lawmaker had also attacked a journalist during a press conference in his residence on Tuesday.
But the legislators, in a statement by the the Majority Leader of the House, Labaran Madari, said what transpired between Mr Doguwa and the deputy gubernatorial candidate of the APC, Murtala Garo, grossly violated the ethics of the party.
The statement further called on both state and the national headquarters of the APC to take appropriate measures against Mr Doguwa, “considering his negative attitude and behaviors which goes beyond the borders of the right thinking person.”
