The Kano State House of Assembly has passed a resolution urging the State Government to construct a road linking Malamai Makarantar through Tsamiya Babba to Gidan Kwano and Mariri on Maiduguri Road in Gezawa and Kumbotso Local Government Areas, LGAs, of the state.
This followed the adoption of a joint motion by Isiyaku Danja (Gezawa- PDP) and Mudassir Zawaciki (Kumbotso- PDP) during plenary on Monday.
Presenting the motion, Mr Danja explained that the construction of the road would help tackle most challenges facing the people in the area.
“The road needs government attention considering its importance to human development, especially socioeconomic, education, security and provision of healthcare service to the people.
“It is highly imperative to present the motion to the house and pray that we call on the government to construct the road,” Mr Danja said.
The house thereafter, adopted the motion and called on the government to construct the road.
