Kano State Government has pledged to construct drains at Yankaba Motor Park, to end flooding in the area.
The State Commissioner for Environment, Ali Makoda, made the pledge on Friday while monitoring the monthly sanitation exercise for workplaces, markets and motor parks in Kano.
He said that the management of the park had done its best to ensure healthy environment, as such, there was need for government to support them by constructing drains around the park.
During the monitoring, the commissioner directed companies in the city to provide protective gloves and face masks for their staff to protect them from chemical hazards.
