Nazir Ahmad, Sarkin Wakan Kano, who was arrested for allegedly releasing two musical albums alleged to be anti-Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, has been granted bail.
A magistrate court sitting at Rijiyar-Zaki area of the state granted him N500,000
bail.
Recall that Mr Ahmed was reportedly arrested on Wednesday.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Kano Police Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the arrest.
He said arrest of the singer was based on the orders of the court.
According to him: “The court ordered his arrest and we complied with the order and we have already handed him over to the court.”
Mr Ahmad joined the league of Kano musicians such as Sunusi Oscar, Sadiq Zazzabi, Mohammed Yusuf AGY who were arrested and sent to prison for allegedly defaming the character of the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
Sources said the police stormed the residence of the music maestro on Wednesday evening after obtaining a search warrant to find out if he was operating an unlicensed studio at home.
“The state censorship board has been looking for a way to rope Sarkin Waka since he began criticizing Ganduje in the build-up to the governorship election.
“During the search in his residence, no studio was found existing but the security operatives stashed away CDs from the residence,” said a source who preferred anonymity.
