Kano Hajj Centre Officer’s mother dies in Makkah

The mother of Tukur Shuaibu, Hajj Centre Officer of Ungoggo Local Government of Kano State, Aishatu Shuaibu has died in Makkah, Saudi Arabia while performing the Hajj rites.

The Kano State Head of Hajj Centre Officers Forum, Habib Idris confirmed the development to newsmen in Madinah, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

 He said the deceased died on Tuesday and was since buried in Makkah.

He added that as soon as the death occurred, he administratively informed the authorities of the state Pilgrims Welfare Board of the development.

Mr Idris added that, “even the Executive Secretary and other officials of the board had all called him and register their condolences to Tukur.

“It was a shocking development but we have to accept the fact that death is inevitable. We just pray to Allah to rest her soul in Jannatul Fordausi.”

Also, the Head of the Medical Team of NAHCON, Ibrahim Kana, confirmed the development in a tacit statement he posted on the NAHCON Media Team whatsapp platform on Wednesday in Makkah.

He said the deceased, who was a diabetic patient was taken to the NAHCON’s clinic in Makkah and was captured in the Electronic Health Medical Records System.

He added that the deceased was thereafter referred to King Abdulaziz Hospital  before she died on Tuesday.
