A popular Kano Islamic cleric, Tijjani Kalarawi has vowed to reconcile the immediate-past governor of the state, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, and his successor, Abdullahi Ganduje.

Fierce political crisis between Mr Kwankwaso, a serving senator representing Kano Central senatorial district, and the incumbent governor, Mr Ganduje broke out immediately after the former handed over power to the latter.

Speaking to journalists in Kano on Thursday, Mr Kalarawi said the crisis between the two political gladiators was a snag to the development of the state.

According to him, the feud was a handiwork of Satan, who instigated the warring parties, who were hitherto intimate.

“This crisis between our two beloved leaders is worrisome. It has a negative effect to our development. I believe this is the work of the devil.

“We need to pray hard against this feud. It affects everybody in this state. It is worrisome to see these long political friends at loggerheads.

“By God’s grace, I will intervene and resolve the crisis between the duo. I shall meet with them, not here, but in Makkah or Madinah,” he vowed.

Mr Kalarawi also called on the general public to pray hard for the success of his mission.
