Kano youths commend Ganduje for appointing Engr. Ramat

Some youth in Kano State have commended Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for appointing Engr. Abdullahi Ramat as the Director General of Kano Metropolitan Agency.

In a statement in Kano on Monday, the chairman of the Youth for Change Initiative, Comrade Fahad, expressed their immense gratitude to Mr Ganduje for appointing Mr Ramat who, according to them, is a round peg in a round hole.

“The appointment of Engr. Ramat is a well-deserved one. He was appointed to a job that is well qualified for, a sound engineer with a Masters’ Degree and a PhD in view.

“Ramat will perform beyond expectation and will deliver the mandate of his responsibilities. The governor has made a good choice, this is an indication that the youths will be carried along,” the statement read in part.

Similarly, a former chairman of Ungogo local government are of the state Baduru Abubakar, who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in the state, congratulated Mr Ramat for the appointment, saying: “Ramat belongs to us, he is from my camp together with the new SUBEB Executive Secretary Dr Hayyo.

“I believe in their capacity that they will perform better; they will use their wealth of experience in the discharge of their responsibilities.

“The governor has done a well-done job for his courage to carry the youth along. He has proved it to us and, on behalf of the indigenes of Ungogo, we wish to express our sincere appreciation over the appointments,” Mr Abubakar added.

Also speaking, the chairman of the Community Re-orientation Programme in Ungogo LG, Bilyaminu Tahir, commended the governor for the gesture.

“We are now confident that we will be carried along. I’m optimistic that Engr. Ramat will not disappoint the governor and the people of Kano.

“He will make an effective discharge of his responsibilities. Of all the appointments made, that of Ramat happens to be the most deserved one, as far as I am concerned,” Mr Tahir said.
