A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Abdul Rafindadi, has congratulated Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda as the state marks its 37th anniversary.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that the state was created in September 23, 1987 during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida.
In an interview with DAILY NIGERIAN on Monday, Mr Rafindadi commended the governor for his landmark and transformative initiatives in the state.
He noted that the governor has been building on the legacy and vision of the founding fathers, adding that the past leaders would take pride in his achievements.
According to him, the unprecedented infrastructural projects, establishment of the Community Watch Corps, and legal and educational reforms are clear evidence of Mr Radda’s vision for the state.
He described the quality leadership being experienced under his administration as a breath of fresh air and a source of renewed hope for the citizens.
The senior lawyer therefore appealed to the residents to imbibe the spirit of unity, productivity, and entrepreneurship that has historically defined Katsina, urging them to support the governor in achieving his transformation agenda.
“As Katsina turns 37, we, the citizens, are breathing fresh air through the various transformative projects initiated by our dear governor,” he said.
“The establishment of the Katsina Security Watch Corps will go a long way in combating the terrorists who have plagued our state. With the governor’s operational and logistical support to the troops, the days of these terrorists are numbered.
“Governor Dikko Radda has reaffirmed that the creation of this noble and prosperous state was not just a political event, but a fulfillment of the hopes and aspirations of our people.”
While saluting the courage and sacrifice of the founding fathers, the senior lawyer assured that their labour would not be in vain.
“I urge all the good people of Katsina State to continue living in peace with one another and support the visionary leadership of Governor Dikko Radda. Let us be our brother’s keepers and unite against the enemies of the state,” he added.
