“This event marks a significant milestone in our administration’s determination to enhance the social and economic welfare of our people, particularly the most vulnerable among us who are the widows and less privileged women.

“We recognise the difficult circumstances many of these women face, having lost their loved ones, and we understand the numerous challenges they encounter in their daily lives,” he said.

The programme, he said would restore dignity and hope as well as provide opportunities to the women, to enable them to thrive and contribute to the growth and development of the state.

The Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Ishaq Shehu-Dabai, said that 20 beneficiaries had been selected from each ward across the 34 local government areas of the state.

Also, Hadiza Yar’Adua, Commissioner for Women Affairs, commended the gesture, describing it as a testament to the inclusive governance championed by governor, who prioritised the welfare of women, children and the less privileged.
