The Police in Delta State have arrested four persons in connection to the abduction of a Naval personnel, Seaman Kola Omoniyi, attached to the Nigerian Navy Engineering College, Sapele, who was abducted, Monday last week in the state.

The suspect was nabbed by a gallant police team led by the Divisional Police Officer, ‘C’ Division in Asaba, Aniette Eyoh, at Ebada-Elume Community, in Sapele Local Government Area of the state.

Mr Eyoh was recently transferred from Warri to his current base.

It was learnt that the arrest was made following a raid on the Sapele community.

While the kidnap kingpin is said to be on the run, police source disclosed that Mr Eyoh had since handed over the arrested suspects to the Sapele Police Command of the Nigeria Police Force.

When contacted, Delta State Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Mustafa, who confirmed the report, said, “The Police combed the area and the suspects were arrested around Sapele area.
