No fewer than 10 persons have been killed in an early morning attack on Te’egbe Village of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State on Friday.
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that many houses were set ablaze by the gunmen during the attack.
Confirming the attack in a statement, the state police spokesman, Ubah Ogaba, said, “On 26/11/2021 at about 0130hrs, the Command received a report of an attack by yet to be identified gunmen at Te’egbe Village of Bassa LGA of the State.
“Unfortunately, ten (10) persons were killed and about thirty (30) houses set ablaze by the attackers,” he added.
Mr Ogaba said the pommissioner of police had directed that discreet investigation be carried out, assuring the community of his readiness to fish out the perpetrators of this barbaric act.
Meanwhile, the Military Information officer of the Operation Safe Haven in the state, Ishaku Takwa, told reporters that, 7 persons were killed, scores injured and many tacked houses were burnt down by the gunmen.
