Bandit terrorists have Attacked Gwada communities of Shiroro Local Government in Niger State when Muslim faithful were preparing for Iftar, the break of the Ramadan fast on Saturday.
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the attackers killed four people and abducted unspecified number of people.
The spokesperson for the Coalition of Shiroro Associations, Salisu Sabo, who confirmed the attack to our reporter via telephone interview, said the terrorists spent hours unleashing terror in the communities.
He said the terrorists chazed communities along Gwada to Shiroro Road.
The communities include Tapila, Kwakwa, Kadna and Gwada town, which is among the few safe areas in Shiroro Local Government.
He expressed fears that if Gwada Communities could be attacked, the lives of the people in the entire Shiroro Local Government area are at stake.
He appealed to Federal Government to as matter of urgency come to their aid by deploying more security agents in the area.
Also confirming the incident, the vice chairman of Shiroro Local Isyaku Bawa said the situation was alarming.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that the Gwada attack has raised tension in the area adjudged a safe haven for the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs.
Shiroro And Munya Local Government Areas had suffered recurrent attacks almost on the daily basis, a situation that crippled the economic activities in the areas.
