A former lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th Assembly, Shehu Sani, has lamented that Nigeria is in ceaseless funeral.
Mr Sani made the statement via his Twitter handle, Wednesday, while reacting to bandits’ attack in Kaduna which claimed no fewer than 10 persons and other valuables.
DAILY NIGERIAN recalls that 10 members of a family were burnt to death by bandits who invaded Bakali village in Fatika District, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Mr Sani lamented over the country’s situation, saying Nigerians are living in perpetual fear.
He said: “the report that bandits locked, burned and roasted 16 people alive in Giwa LG, Kaduna state is tragic and condemnable. We live in times of perpetual fear and serial mourning.
“The nation is tragically in a ceaseless funeral; as the tears of one family dries up, that of another gushes.”
