A polling agent of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, was beaten up by thugs who disrupted voting at Obeiba/Ihima in Okehi local government area of Kogi state in the ongoing election gubernatorial election in the state.

The candidate of SDP, Natasha Akpoti, alleged on her Facebook page that there have been gunfire in the area.

TheCable also reported witnessing a man being taken away in a van by security agents after gunfire.

After the intervention of security agents, normalcy returned,  and election activities commenced.
