Governor Simon Lalong has approved the reappointment of Barr. Auwal Abdullahi as the Executive Secretary, Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.

The governor, in a letter of confirmation to the ES, signed by the Secretary to the Government of the State, SGS, Prof. Danladi Abok-Atu, dated November 20, 2019, said the reappointment is with effect from May 2019.

“I am pleased to inform you that the Executive Governor of Plateau State Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, has approved your re-appointment as Executive Secretary, Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board with effect from 29th May, 2019,” the letter read.

Mr Lalong, while congratulating and thanking the Executive Secretary for the services rendered, further said, “it is hoped that you will redouble efforts towards fulfilling the agenda of the administration in the second tenure”.

According to the governor, the ES has brought an “uncommon feat into the state,” by making the refunds of millions to the coffers of government after the 2018 Hajj operation.

Mr Lalong added that the ES had also put lots of reforms that sanitised happenings in the board, with few months of his appointment.
