The Lagos State Judicial Panel of Enquiry and Restitution for victims of SARS related abuses and other matters has begun a review of alleged shooting videos at Lekki, during the #EndSARS protest in Lagos.

The panel is showing the footage captured by the surveillance camera at the Lekki toll gate on October 20 earlier submitted by the Lekki Concession Company, LCC Managing Director, Abayomi Omomuwa, on Tuesday.

Recall that soldiers had been accused of shooting at #EndSARS protesters, injuring and killing some, an allegation the military has denied.

Meanwhile, the Panel chairman, Judge Emeritus Okuwobi directed that the footage, which spreads to over 20 hours long, be played in full.

This was sequel to an application by a lawyer representing the #EndSARS protesters, Adesina Ogunlana, turning down the request of LCC lawyer, Rotimi Seriki, for the panel to start viewing the recording captured from about 5pm on October 20.

The alleged shootings are believed to occur from just over 6 pm on October 20.
